Rust Server Plans

Rust's memory use grows with the map size, the number of entities and your plugins. Pick the RAM your server needs and upgrade at any time without losing the world.

Built for the Wipe-Day Rush

On wipe day everyone joins at once: hundreds of players spawning, gathering, building and raiding in the first hour. Rust leans on single-thread speed and plenty of RAM to track every entity on the map, so our plans start at 8 GB on high-clock CPUs.

  • Scheduled wipes — map and blueprint wipes on your own schedule, or in step with the monthly forced wipe
  • Oxide or Carbon in one click — pick a framework in the panel and drop your plugins into the plugins folder
  • Custom or procedural maps — load a custom map with server.levelurl, or set the world size and seed
  • Rust+ companion app — open the app port so players get raid alerts and smart alarms on their phones
Everything Included

Included With Every Rust Server, at No Extra Cost

Everything you need to run a stable vanilla or modded Rust server, from the first wipe to the hundredth.

SteamCMD Auto-Update

Facepunch ships an update on every forced wipe day. Restart the server and SteamCMD installs the new build, so nobody is locked out by a version mismatch.

Gen4 NVMe Storage

A busy Rust map holds hundreds of thousands of entities. NVMe keeps world saves quick and startup short, even late in the wipe.

Oxide & Carbon Plugins

Run kits, clans, teleports, custom loot tables or gather rates with plugins from uMod and Codefling. Upload them and they load on the fly.

UDP Game Shield

Always-on filtering drops UDP floods aimed at your game port before they reach the server, so raids are only fought in-game.

Wipe Scheduler

Plan map and blueprint wipes, daily restarts and in-game announcements with the panel's task scheduler.

One-Click Backups

Take a backup before a wipe or a plugin update, and restore the whole server in one click if something goes wrong.

Hardware & Technology

Our Infrastructure. Your Advantage.

Enterprise hardware we run ourselves, built for stable performance, fast human support and always-on DDoS mitigation.

Reliable High-Density Compute Nodes

Rust servers run on high-clock enterprise hardware that we own and manage ourselves: no resellers in between, just reserved RAM, real CPU time and a steady tick rate when the whole server is online.

24/7 Expert Technical Support

Plugin broken after a forced wipe, a custom map that won't load or a save to move? Our technical team knows the Rust dedicated server, Oxide and Carbon, and responds fast.

Instant 60s Deployment

SteamCMD installs the Rust server, the game and RCON ports are assigned and your server comes online as soon as your payment is verified.

Always-On DDoS Mitigation

Edge filtering drops Layer 4 UDP floods and junk packets aimed at your game port before they reach the server, without adding lag for your players.

FAQ & Knowledge

Rust Hosting Questions, Answered

Straight answers on RAM, plugins, wipes, custom maps and updates.

It depends on the map size, the number of entities and your plugins. 8 GB runs a 3000 to 3500 map for a small community, 12 GB suits a 4000 map with around 100 players and a set of plugins, and 16 GB gives large maps, heavily modded servers and 200 players room to grow. Regular wipes keep memory use in check.
Yes. Choose Oxide or Carbon in the Startup tab and restart the server. Then upload your plugins (.cs files) to oxide/plugins or carbon/plugins over SFTP or the web File Manager, and they compile and load automatically.
Facepunch forces a map wipe on the first Thursday of every month, when the monthly update ships. Between forced wipes you decide: delete the map and save files for a map wipe, delete the blueprint database for a BP wipe, or let the panel's scheduler do it on the day you choose.
Yes. Host your .map file on a direct download link and set it as server.levelurl in the Startup tab. For a procedural map, just set the world size and seed you want.
Yes. With auto-update enabled (the default), SteamCMD checks for a new Rust build every time the server starts, so after a Facepunch update a simple restart brings your server up to date. Oxide or Carbon is refreshed on the same restart.
Yes. Set an RCON password in the Startup tab and connect RustAdmin or any WebRCON tool to your server IP on port 28016. The panel console sends commands as well, so you can kick, ban, broadcast or save without joining the game.
In Rust, press F1 to open the console and type client.connect followed by your server address (IP:28015). Once the server is listed, players can also find it in the in-game server browser.
No. Every service is prepaid and billed month to month, with no setup fee. If you don't renew, the server is simply suspended.
